Know when not to bid!
The bravest decision is not to bid and be your own worst critic in terms of considering your competitive position. Perhaps your better opportunity lies in being a second or third tier supplier in the supply chain to the winning companies. Public bodies are obliged to publish successful candidates’ details (for OJEU threshold contracts) but of course it is better to be part of a winning bid in advance rather than sell to the winner after the tender has been awarded.
