Scottish Procurement is considering the establishment of a collaborative arrangement for the provision of IoT technologies and services. The Prior Information Notice (PIN)  has been issued to provide advance notice to the supply market of this potential opportunity, but more importantly, to seek views and comments on some areas that will assist in the development of this opportunity assessment.

IoT has a number of definitions but can be viewed as a network of dedicated physical objects that contain embedded technology to sense or interact with their internal state or external environment, connect and exchange data.
