The Supplier Development Programme (SDP) has welcomed NatureScot to join with all 32 Scottish Local authorities and 16 other public bodies as members of the Programme.

NatureScot is the operating name for the body formally called Scottish Natural Heritage. It is an executive non-departmental public body of the Scottish Government responsible for the country's natural heritage, especially its natural, genetic and scenic diversity.

Recognising the award-winning supplier engagement and tender training services that SDP could offer, Becky Shaw, Peatland ACTION Workforce Planning and Development Manager at NatureScot said:

Working with SDP to engage local businesses across Scotland, will help us to raise awareness for up-and-coming peatland restoration projects and how to tender for them. We already have our first webinar taking place on Tuesday 27 June 2023, 2:00-3:30pm so please join us to find out more about working together and these projects”

Gillian Cameron, SDP Programme Manager, said:

The rural economy depends on local businesses and social enterprises to deliver in often remote locations and as a national Programme, SDP can leverage their members and supplier network to raise awareness of these opportunities and to train potential suppliers to be “tender ready” and we encourage those who can provide their services to NatureScot to attend the free webinar.

Businesses can visit www.sdpscotland.co.uk to register for a free account and sign up to the webinar and to keep up to date with a full range of tender training events.
