£10M Funding Competition - Do you have a game changing idea?

Net Zero Technology Centre will be launching its £10 million 2022 Open Innovation Programme, targeting and funding technologies to enable the energy transition.

The funding competition will have two six-week funding windows. Businesses from across the globe can apply for a share of £7 million available in the first funding window (16 March 2022), with a maximum of £1 million to be awarded to each successful project. The project must support the transition towards Net Zero, with an obligation of trialling and deploying technology within the UK continental shelf. The second finding window is scheduled for October 2022.

As well as finding, the projects will also gain access to data facilities and technical expertise from the industry.

Technology focus areas include:

  • CCUS
  • Hydrogen & other clean Fuels
  • Renewables & Energy Storage
  • Zero Emissions Power
  • Integrity Management
  • Venting & flaring
  • Late life & Decommissioning
