Discover Public Sector Contracts and how to win them at Meet the Buyer Ayrshire

Meet the Buyer AyrshireThe Supplier Development Programme has teamed up with East, North and South Ayrshire Councils to host Meet the Buyer Ayrshire, an event highlighting regional public sector opportunities, on 4 October from 2 – 5pm, at the Park Hotel Kilmarnock.

Meet the Buyer Ayrshire offers a relaxed environment for private sector suppliers to speak to public sector buyers, and discover ways to work with them, on new and existing contracts, for goods, services and works. It’s also a great opportunity to hear what is in the future pipeline of opportunities.

The event is free to attend, through the SDP website, and all types of businesses and social enterprises are welcome. Previous years’ events had record turn outs, so you are advised to register now to avoid disappointment.

This year, exhibitors will include not only the three Ayrshire Councils, but also Public Contract Scotland, NHS Ayrshire, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scotland Excel, Built Environment- Smarter Transformation, Scottish Procurement Alliance, Hub South West, Living Wage Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and Ayrshire Growth Deal.

As well as signposting public contract opportunities, the event will advise you how to win them. In the afternoon there will be a workshop session and advice, from the procurement support expert body SDP, offering you an opportunity to get tender ready and understand how to bid better. The SDP team look forward to answering all your questions at its Top Tips for Tendering Workshop.

There will also be a session from the Ayrshire Growth Deal on Community Wealth Building.

Meet the Buyer Ayrshire comes as part of Ayrshire Business Week, and the event will focus on public sector opportunities and community wealth building, and will follow the Growing Ayrshire B2B Exhibition, which is on that morning in the same location, the Park Hotel.

With such a busy day planned, be sure to get your Meet the Buyer Ayrshire tickets before arriving at the hotel.
