Get Tips on Bidding for Contracts

Day 1 of the conference will see Gillian Cameron, SDP’s Programme Manager, deliver a keynote session on tendering tips for the energy sector, before she joins the later Energy Supply Chain in Transition panel.

The Tips on Tendering for Energy Contracts keynote will be held in the Future Talent Theatre from 9.45-10.15am. During this session, Gillian will cover how to find and bid for public sector energy contracts. She will then explain how SDP events can help you connect with buyers and find subcontracting opportunities.

Then between 1.50-2.50pm Gillian will talk in the Energy Supply Chain in Transition panel, to discuss keeping supply chains local, understanding the impact of uncertainty on regional economies, and building long-term supply chain resilience. This is a must-visit to help attendees understand the challenges facing today’s energy supply chain.

Find your Next Customer

All Energy puts you in the right place to connect with over 300 exhibitors, any of whom could be your next customer. SDP will also be on hand – on stand S48 – to outline some of its partner organisations who have live energy projects with work for which you could compete.

Balfour Beatty Power

SDP collaborates closely with its partner Balfour Beatty Power, a business which is working on the SP Energy Networks transmission business’ Strategic Agreement for Overhead Line Works five-year framework worth £5.4bn. Stop by the SDP stand if you think you could supply to Balfour Beatty on the project to install new overhead line conductor systems across Central and Southern Scotland.

Government Commercial Agency

Another SDP partner with contracts in the energy sector is Government Commercial Agency (GCA) formally known as Crown Commercial Service, which has a Demand Management & Renewables DPS out to tender. This DPS supports the public sector’s Net Zero strategy by providing a range of energy products and services, including design and feasibility, installation, servicing and maintenance, decommissioning and more. If you are interested in this project, visit the SDP stand for details!

Scottish Procurement Alliance

Further long-term opportunities come from the SDP partner, Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA), which is going out to tender for its £129m Retrofit and Decarbonisation framework, to support local authorities, housing associations, education and other public sector organisations in delivering energy efficiency and decarbonisation. Workstreams include building insulation, heating and ventilation systems, building control and management systems, solar PV and electrical. To learn more about this framework, come to stand S48.

Veolia

SDP will also be telling visitors about its partner Veolia’s work on the Scottish Suppliers Energy Expansion. Veolia is seeking capable Scottish suppliers to support a growing pipeline of long‑term projects exceeding £70m, with contract terms of 15-20 years. Areas of interest include Systems Integration & Plant Management, Electrical Installation, Mechanical Installation, Mechanical & Electrical Design and Build Services, Building Management Systems, Civil, Structural & Architectural Design and more.
