Dumfries and Galloway Council Meet the Buyer Roadshow - Dumfries

Dumfries and Galloway Council, in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme, is hosting an in-person Meet the Buyer roadshow event in Dumfries to boost supplier engagement in the South of Scotland in the lead up to Meet the Buyer South.

The Meet the Buyer Roadshow event will take place at The Bridge in Dumfries, and will be split across two rooms.

Room G59 will be dedicated to the Main Exhibition Hall. Suppliers are encouraged to meet with exhibitors to discuss forthcoming contracts and supply chain opportunities and learn more about any business development available to achieve growth aspirations.

In room G09, there will be a presentation on Understanding Market Challenges and how collectively we can overcome the challenges to deliver front line public services. The session will start at 11:00am, if you want to attend this session you will need to book in advance.

At 1:00pm, there will be another presentation in room G09 on, the impact of Public Sector spending on Community Wealth Building in Dumfries and Galloway. This session will be followed by a Q&A session, where you can get your questions answered in real time.

The Dumfries and Galloway Council Roadshow event is open to all SMEs, supported businesses and, third sector organisations, but will be of particular interest to those businesses within the Dumfries and Galloway area who wish to do business with the Council. It's free to attend! Please book your free place in advance.

Support from the Supplier Development Programme

The Supplier Development Programme is helping organise this event to and a representative from the programme will be at the event to talk to suppliers about what support is available for Scottish SMEs, supported businesses and third sector organisations to help you get ‘tender ready’ for opportunities that arise from the event.

After the two Meet the Buyer events with Dumfries and Galloway Council, suppliers are encouraged to register for the first ever Meet the Buyer South event that is planned to take place on 4 October 2022. Suppliers will be able to meet procurement teams from local authorities in the South of Scotland, alongside other public and private sector buying organisations, and can also find out how to become 'tender ready' to bid for many opportunities through free training from the Supplier Development Programme.
