Funded Early Learning and Childcare Framework open to new providers in the Scottish Border area.

Can you provide Nursery or child minding services in Scottish Borders Council area?

Scottish Borders Council (SBC) is seeking bid submissions from suitably qualified and experienced providers to supplement its existing framework for Funded Early Learning and Childcare Places (ref SBC/CPS/1815). Scottish Borders Council

SBC is reopening its Funded Early Learning and Childcare Framework to new providers from the voluntary, independent and private settings to provide Early Learning and Childcare for 2,3 and 4 year old children. A contract notice has been published on Public Contracts Scotland, which contains more detailed information.

Lot 1 - Nursery Services

All providers who apply and meet the national standards, legislation and the Council’s procedural requirements and accept the rates and contract terms set out by the Council shall be accepted onto the framework agreement to deliver funded provision.

Lot 2 - Childminder Services

All providers who apply and meet the national standards, legislation and the Council’s procedural requirements and accept the rates and contract terms set out by the Council shall be accepted onto the framework agreement to deliver funded provision.

As these services are listed in Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations and the contract value exceeds the threshold, the Council will be using the afforded flexibility of the Light Touch Regime to re-open the framework.
