Moray Council are looking for Providers of Family Support Services.
Are you a local contractor in the Moray area and can meet the Council’s requirements? Moray Council has published a Prior Information Notice on Public Contracts Scotland seeking interest from providers of family support services.
The primary aim of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to identify providers who would be interested in bidding for a proposed future tender exercise for delivery of family support services across Moray. The secondary aim is to design a service that will deliver the greatest impact and outcomes for the children, young people and families who access it.
As a direct result of consultation, the following areas are essential to the children’s, families and justice service social work team.
- Intensive support to children, young people and families, with agreed outcomes and tailored sessions
- Parental support, including group work, individual sessions and the use of known successful training / programmes
- Support for parents and carers with children and young people with a neurodiversity diagnosis
- Inclusive neurodiversity service for young people
- Mental Health services for young people
- Practical Support for families to develop and maintain routines, understanding and setting boundaries etc.
- Emotional Support
All services must be delivered in a consistent and focussed approach with the children, young people and families at the centre. The trauma informed principles must be embedded into practice with a focus on parental trauma and child trauma. Flexible service delivery, allowing for sessions in the evening, weekends, online and activities / group sessions throughout the school holidays.
Following consultation, the above areas will be lotted and budget advertised. It is anticipated that more than one provider could be successful in any tender award.
The Council invites interested organisations to submit ideas and evidence of successful service delivery in these areas by Friday, 6 June 2025 to cfcommissioning@moray.gov.uk. Your expertise in running services across Scotland, will provide information to conclude the consultation process. For any informal discussions, please contact the email address above with some availability for a 30 minute Teams meeting.
