Scotland Excel and Supplier Development Programme- supporting potential suppliers bid for their frameworks.

The Supplier Development Programme is delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Scotland Excel, at the 14th annual Meet the Buyer event in May.

The Supplier Development Programme (SDP) has a long history of working with Scotland Excel (SXL). SXL often participate in SDP’s free Understanding and Bidding - Frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPS) webinars, the next of which, takes place on Thursday 27 July 2023, 1:30-3:00pm.

To drive a visible, joined-up approach to promote Scotland Excel's framework opportunities and the Supplier Development Programme's tender training and support for Scotland's businesses, both organisations signed an MOU, at the National Meet the Buyer event on 17^th May 2023, witnessed by Tom Arthur MSP, Minister for Community Wealth and Public Finance, Scottish Government.

Defining and formalising the working relationship enables Scotland Excel and the Supplier Development Programme to jointly support their member councils who may use these frameworks as a procurement route to the supply market and to work together to break down perceived barriers to SME’s and social enterprises tendering, encouraging more suppliers into bidding.
