Scottish Government: Harnessing eCommerce in Procurement
Supply Chain Digital recently featured a guest blog by the Scottish Government which outlines the crucial support that the Supplier Development Programme provides to small, medium and supported businesses in Scotland.
Lynn Wisener, Scottish Government’s Deputy Director of eCommerce & Procurement Best Practice, contributed a succinct overview of public sector procurement and talked about the future of data in Scottish Procurement and eCommerce. Within the blog, working closely with the Supplier Development Programme is highlighted.
The Supplier Development Programme offers free tender training to micro, small, and medium sized businesses so that they can become ‘tender ready’ for any public sector contract opportunity.
Gillian Cameron, SDP Programme Manager, said:
"The Supplier Development Programme is proud to work in partnership with all 32 Scottish local authorities to support the Scottish Government's four strategic objectives of public procurement in Scotland (#PowerofProcurement) which include: good for businesses and their employees, good for society, good for places and communities and open and connected."
