Scottish Government seeks views on the public procurement system in Scotland

10DR on phone

Have you just started a company in the last five years, or are you part of a third sector organisation? The Scottish Government wants to hear from you!

The Scottish Government has asked Blake Stevenson, a social research company, to gather feedback about third-sector organisations’ and new private sector businesses’ experiences of the public procurement system in Scotland. The research will inform future development of public procurement processes, ensuring that it is as inclusive as possible.

You do not need to have experience of bidding for public sector contracts to take part in the research!

Participation involves taking part in a short telephone/online interview where Blake Stevenson will ask you about your experiences and views of the procurement system.

The research will inform our next steps around the delivery of public procurement in Scotland. By helping us to ensure that the widest range of businesses and organisations are able to do business with the Scottish public sector on an even footing with other suppliers.

Your views will help the researchers to develop evidence-based recommendations and action points so that the Scottish Government and wider public sector can achieve that goal.

Supplier Development Programme

The Supplier Development Programme encourages all new businesses and third sector organisations to take part in this research, to tell the Scottish Government what you think about the public procurement system in Scotland. The research will inform future development of public procurement processes, ensuring that it is as inclusive as possible.

Next Steps

Participation involves taking part in a short telephone/online interview where the research team will ask you about your experiences and views of the procurement system.

If you would like to take part in the research, or if you require any more information, please contact Lena at Blake Stevenson by email or by phone at 0131 667 2919.
