Public sector buyers have been invited to participate in a Twitter Takeover of the SDP Scotland account today, 2 June, from 10:00am to 3:00pm, as part of SDP's Meet the Buyer 2020: Live Virtual Event. Suppliers are encouraged to follow the #MeetTheBuyer2020 hashtag on Twitter and ask real time questions to buyers, as well as participate in webinars on Frameworks & Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPS) and Public Contracts Scotland (PCS): What would you like to know?. This blog outlines information on the Scottish Procurement Alliance's renewal plans for four frameworks.

The Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) is building on the success of its framework offering by re-procuring four of its most successful frameworks: Schools and Community Buildings, Modular Buildings, Roofing and Doors. In the last financial year, 2019/20, SPA’s Partners registered over £230M worth of projects through their frameworks, which was a 48% rise on the previous year.

Scottish suppliers interested in tendering for these frameworks are encouraged to register their interest via ProContract or Public Contract Scotland. Once registered, they will receive up to date information at every stage of the tender process.

The next stage will be pre-tender engagement workshop webinars with suppliers and SPA Partners to help build the frameworks in line with what the market requires. Each of these webinars will be held in the last weeks of June.

Graham Collie, SPA Technical Support Manager, said:

“By engaging with SPA at the outset of the framework renewal, suppliers have the opportunity to feed into and shape the procurement solution.

“Our pre-tender process allows suppliers to learn more about the previous iterations of our frameworks along with their successes and how we are looking to add improvements.”

Suppliers can register for updates on the following frameworks:

Construction of Schools and Community Buildings (SCB3)

Design, Supply and Installation of Permanent and Temporary Modular Buildings (MB2)

Design, Supply and Installation of Roofing and Associated Works (RS4)

Supply and Installation of Communal Doors, Entrance Doors, and Associated Products (CDED8)
