SDP Awarded Public Procurement Project of the Year at GO Awards Scotland 2025
The Supplier Development Programme (SDP), alongside NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, received the ‘Public Procurement Project of the Year’ Award at the GO Awards Scotland 2025/26.
SDP and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde were among ten finalists in the Public Procurement Project of the Year category, receiving the top award at the ceremony on Tuesday 28 October 2025 at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow.
This category celebrates a procurement project that brings together best practice and innovation across multiple areas into a single, brilliantly executed initiative. It recognises groundbreaking work and the delivery of something that genuinely advances public procurement practice – creating an example for others to follow.
The award was given for a community benefits project, which saw SDP working with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to increase awareness and use of the NHS National Community Benefit Gateway Portal. As part of the project, SDP conducted market research, delivered a bespoke webinar to help third sector organisations (TSOs) in the Greater Glasgow region write compelling bids for the portal, and hosted a webinar showing current and potential NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde suppliers how to use the portal effectively to deliver community benefits as part of their bids.
Gillian Cameron, Programme Manager, Supplier Development Programme, said:
“I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to all the winners of this year’s GO Awards Scotland.
“SDP was proud to be recognised, alongside our partner NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, as a Finalist in two categories at this year’s GO Awards and was delighted to win in the Public Procurement Project of the Year category.”
“SDP is fully committed to progressive procurement, working in collaboration with our member councils and public bodies to raise awareness of contract opportunities. This activity empowers Scottish-based SME businesses, third sector organisations, and supported businesses to become tender ready, to bid for, and win a share of the £16.6bn public procurement spend in Scotland.
“Through this bespoke project for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, we helped raise awareness of the NHS National Community Benefit Gateway Portal among suppliers and TSOs in the Greater Glasgow area, encouraging more community benefits to be delivered as part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde contract opportunities.
We are delighted to see this work, and our commitment to collaboration, be recognised alongside such amazing finalists and winners at this year’s GO Awards.”
The Supplier Development Programme extends congratulations to all the other finalists and winners of this year’s GO Awards Scotland, including our partners at Dumfries and Galloway Council, Dundee City Council, and Renfrewshire Council. View the full list of winners here.
