Smart Hub Lanarkshire Building

Due to the latest easing of COVID-19 restrictions, Smart Hub Lanarkshire – a new centre of excellence for manufacturing innovation and robotics – has launched its programme of events for the first quarter of 2022.

The Smart Hub, which is based at New College Lanarkshire’s Motherwell Campus, is a partnership between North Lanarkshire Council, New College Lanarkshire, and the University of Strathclyde. It is home to a robotics and automation training facility and is a dedicated space for SMEs to meet, learn and access business support and academic expertise.

The facility opened digitally in April 2021 and physically in October 2021. Since then, 290 people from manufacturing SMEs, universities, colleges, councils, enterprise agencies and industry organisations have attended Smart Hub webinars, events, and demonstrations.

Today, Smart Hub released its events programme for the first quarter of 2022. The events will showcase the capabilities of new robotics technologies and how these can be integrated into different manufacturing environments.
