Supplier Development Programme shortlisted as GO Awards finalist
The Supplier Development Programme has been shortlisted as a finalist in two categories at this year’s GO Awards Scotland, which will be presented at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow at the GO Awards Scotland Ceremony on 24 October 2024. The GO Awards celebrate the very best procurement achievements from across the UK’s public, private and third sector organisations.
Alongside our partners at Scottish Borders Council, the Supplier Development Programme has been announced as a finalist for the Collaborative Procurement Initiative Award and Best Procurement Delivery Award.
Gillian Cameron, SDP Programme Manager, said:
“The Supplier Development Programme offers heartfelt congratulations to all Finalists of this year’s GO Awards Scotland.”
“SDP is proud to be recognised, alongside our partner Scottish Borders Council, as a Finalist in two categories at this year’s GO Awards. The GO Awards rightly recognises every organisation’s many admirable activities across Scotland that are central to the Power of Procurement.”
“SDP fully commits to Progressive Procurement, by working in partnership with our member councils and public bodies, to diligently and passionately raise awareness of contract opportunities. This activity empowers Scottish-based SME businesses, third sector organisations, and supported businesses to become tender ready, to bid for and win a fair share of the public procurement spend in Scotland. We are delighted to see this work recognised alongside such amazing finalists at this year’s GO Awards.”
Award Categories Background
Procurement Delivery: This Award focuses on the outcomes achieved through successful procurement activity. Whether through innovative procurement approaches, outstanding supply chain management or brilliant engagement with stakeholders and end-users, it’s all about what has actually been delivered – with the evidence in place to support any claims made.
Collaborative Procurement: Collaboration is a vital ingredient for successful public procurement. Organisations that embrace the sharing of ideas, information and insights can move faster and more effectively to achieve their goals. But collaboration isn’t always easy – so this Award is as focused on how organisations have overcome friction and cultural differences in their pursuit of better outcomes as it is on those for whom the whole concept of collaboration has been second nature.
