SDP Delivers Consortium Creation and Planning Webinar
If you are looking to grow your business, social enterprise or supported business, but aren’t ready to tender for larger value contracts on your own, joining a consortium co-operative could be the solution!
Overcoming Barriers
SMEs can overcome these hurdles by collaborating with other businesses and third sector organisations. By working together as a consortium co-operative, businesses increase their capacity and their skills range, so they can bid for contracts previously out with their reach.
The Supplier Development Programme is set to host a FREE ‘Consortium Creation and Planning’ training webinar, on Wednesday 3 September, from 10:30am to 12pm, for Scottish SMEs to learn all they need to know about consortium bidding.
Consortium bidding offers numerous benefits for small businesses, social enterprises, supported businesses and Third Sector Organisations (TSOs) including increased access to larger contracts, reduced individual risk, and enhanced market reach. By pooling resources and expertise, small businesses can compete for contracts that previously felt out with their reach.
During this session, your local SMEs will learn:
- What a ‘Consortium’ is
- Key features of this business model
- Structure of collaborative working
- Benefits of a co-operative bid and collaborative working
- Why there is a need for consortium bidding
- How to create an incorporated consortium company
- Examples of successful consortium bids
- FAQ
Scottish SMEs can register to attend via the SDP website.
