The Scottish Government has launched a Construction Procurement Survey

10Dr

The Scottish Government has developed a survey, giving suppliers an opportunity to provide feedback on existing procurement issues relating to Construction, as well as an opportunity to make suggestions or bring forward ideas to address any identified problems or opportunities. The Supplier Development Programme is promoting this survey to all Scottish businesses, but ensuring there are views reflected from Scottish micro, small and medium sized businesses, as well as supported businesses, is a priority.

As part of the improvement process, the Government wants to hear your views on what “procurement reform” means to you in relation to the procurement of construction related activities in Scotland. The survey will be open until 30 June 2022 and can be completed by an individual, company or organisation.

The survey is a result of the discussions from the Construction Accord over the past year or so. There has been the recognition that there is an industry desire for reform in the procurement of construction contracts in order to achieve the improvements desired of and by the industry.

Your feedback is very important to the Scottish Government and the wider Construction industry will benefit from it. All Construction responses received will inform the team tasked with taking forward improvements in construction related activities.

If you have any questions about the survey, please send them to PropertyandConstruction@gov.scot and it will be picked up by a member of the team.
