Framework agreement for Mechanised Ground Preparation Operations

Tuesday 21 May 2024, 1:30-3:00pm

Partner Event

As part of the development of a procurement strategy for a framework agreement for Mechanised Ground Preparation Operations, Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) is seeking views and information from the marketplace through a Prior Information Notice (PIN) which is to be published through PCS.

The purpose of the framework agreement is to provide a compliant route to market for FLS to procure requirements which existing contractors do not have the capacity to undertake or to replace contracts which have been terminated due to contract failure. The framework agreement will not be used as a route to market for any other reason.

The scope of services under the Mechanised Ground Preparation contract is set to include:

  • Core Services: Trench Mounding, Inverted Mounding, Hinge Mounding, Brake Rash & Windrowing, Scrape/Screef, Shallow Trench/Forward Mounding/Borrow Pitting, V-Drain, V-Drain with Flat Top, High/Low Spec Access Tracks, Excavator.
  • Non-Core Services: Patch Ripping/Subsoiling, Mechanical Respacing, Mulching - Excavator Head, Mulching - Skid Steer, Continuous Mounding (Restock), Continuous Mounding (Woodland Creation), Base Machine with Grab.

The purpose of the webinar is to provide a better understanding of the framework agreement to interested parties.

The webinar will consist of:

  • Introduction from SDP and housekeeping
  • Welcome from Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS)
  • Presentation about the Mechanised Ground Preparation Operations Framework Agreement
  • FLS bidders’ requirements, how to access the contract notice and  the potential SPD requirements
  • Live Q&A
