Scotland's Climate Week is taking place on 26-30 September, to help raise awareness of the global climate emergency and celebrate Scotland's leadership in taking action against climate change.

Throughout Scotland's Climate Week, businesses and organisations are being asked to highlight the changes they are already making in response to the global climate emergency, and to bring employees, families and communities into the conversation on what can be done to help tackle climate change. The aim is for climate action to become a hot topic of conversation at workplaces, homes and community spaces across Scotland.

Scotland's Climate Week is also the perfect opportunity to look at how your businesses is taking action to tackle climate change and reach Net Zero. It is a chance to decarbonise supply chains to make them more resilient and adaptable; to upskill and retrain employees, future-proofing jobs and tapping into the increasing pool of labour with green skills; to explore new sources of funding and advice to enable action.

Scotland led the world in becoming one of the first nations to declare a global climate emergency in April 2019. The need to take action to tackle climate change is more urgent than ever. So, as part of the global effort to fight the climate emergency, Scotland has set an ambitious target to become 'Net Zero' by 2045, five years ahead of the rest of the UK.
