Interested service provider must be in possession of the following documentation and be able to provide it to the Council prior to the Framework commencement date -when requested, and as required throughout the duration of the Framework in respect of each driver and/or escort, as applicable.
The Council may check these documents throughout the period of the Framework prior to the award of a mini-competition or direct award:
- Taxi vehicle and/or Private Car Hire Licence
- Taxi Driver and/or Private Car Hire Driver's Licence (for each Driver)
- P.S.V. Operator's Licence
- Vehicle Registration Document
- Vehicle Inspection Certificate and MOT Certificate
- Certificate of Initial Fitness (COIF)
- P.S.V Test Certificate
- Insurance Certificate (for each vehicle)
- Be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme for each driver and escort –they must also have been deemed suitable by South Ayrshire Council
- Driver’s/P.C.V. licences
The Framework Agreement will be split into four (4) individual lots:
- Lot 1 - Transportation of Children and Young People between Educational Establishments for Additional Support Need and Consortium Travel Arrangements
- Lot 2 – Transportation of Babies, Children and Young Adults with Complex Needs and Disabilities.
- Lot 3 – General Taxi Service
- Lot 4 – Provision of a Taxi Service for Food Distribution
Tenderers are invited to tender for one, several, or all Lots, however part Lots will not be considered. The maximum number of lots to be awarded to one tenderer will be four, subject to capacity and capability.
The framework duration will be three (3) years with an opportunity to review and extend the framework for up to a further twelve (12) months. The anticipated date of the new Framework commencing is July 2024 to ensure new contracts are in place for the new school term beginning August 2024.
