Design Consultancy Services Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS)

The Council currently procures lower value Unregulated (values under £50,000) Design Consultancy Services contracts either through Quick Quotes, or via Open Tender processes.  It is now proposed to replace these approaches with a lotted Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). 

During this webinar we will hear the experts with Argyll & Bute Council discuss the types of services required and the new process you will follow to secure work to provide the services listed below:

Scope of proposed DPS:

Unregulated procurements for Design Consultancy Services contracts between £1 to £49,999

  • Architects
  • Civil Engineers
  • Clerk of Works
  • Conservation Architects (for listed buildings)
  • Drone Surveyors
  • Ecological Surveyors
  • Geotechnical
  • Kitchen Designers
  • Landscape Architects
  • Mechanical & Electrical Engineers
  • Quantity Surveyors
  • Structural Engineers
  • Rot/Preservation Works Surveyors
  • Topographical Surveyors

As part of a tender process, bidders would be requested to provide: 

  • Information about the bidding organisation; 
  • Exclusion Grounds information;
  • Selection Criteria including Turnover information, Insurances, Examples of previous services carried out, Quality Management Procedures and Health and Safety Procedures.

Note: The individual call-offs within this DPS would be evaluated on the basis of Quality and Price to demonstrate best value for the Council. 

The DPS may include a collaborative arrangement with multiple other local public sector partners.
