What is a consortium co-operative?

It’s an organisation run in a shared and equal way by its members for their mutual benefit. Members are businesses and the co-operative can be for any purpose which supports them – such as marketing, tendering, innovating or exporting. Find out more here

£5k in cash, £5k in business support

There will be up to five winners, each receiving £5,000 in cash to implement their collaborative idea, Co-operative Development Scotland (CDS) support to set up as a consortium co-operative, international advice where appropriate and £5,000 business support from Scottish Enterprise (SE) or Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).

The objective: Grow your business and access new markets

Your application should show how you and your partners wish to collaborate to take advantage of a new market opportunity that will help your businesses to grow. This could be a new sector or new geographical market – including international markets.  We will award up to two of the 5 prizes to those whose collaboration demonstrates strong international ambitions.
