Provision of a Mobile Custody Suite, to be situated in the Tayside region.
Police Scotland has published a Prior Information Notice / Request for Information (RFI) to gather information from the market for potential procurement options related to the provision of a Mobile Custody Suite, to be situated in the Tayside region.
Please note that the scope of any future procurement exercise has not yet been fully defined. The information received from this RFI will be used to help gauge market interest, any new entrants to the market and shape the procurement strategy.
Requirement
The RFI contains high level information regarding the contract requirements, and a questionnaire.
The outline requirement is for:
-20 Legally Compliant Custody Cells. Cells and toilets to be anti-ligature MOJ compliant and of robust construction
-Two standard charge bars and one discrete charge bar
-Showers for people in custody
-Medical Room
-Virtual Court Room
-Fingerprint and intoximeter room
-Solicitor consultation room
-Two interview rooms
-Refreshment / canteen for staff
-Office space
-Toilets for staff
Outline Spec for Area Required and advice on the following:
-Site Survey(s)
-Groundwork investigation(s)
-Engineering advice / services
-Design
-Planning application
-Building warrant
-Construct (offsite or onsite) and Install
-Hook-up to existing utilities at site or alternative provision
-Commissioning
This is a general overview and may be subject to change prior to the issue of the tender documents.
It is anticipated that any resultant procurement exercise would result in the award of a contract to a single Contractor.
