SEPA Plans to Procure a Small Survey Boat and Trailer
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has published a Prior Information Notice (PIN) on Public Contract Scotland (PCS) seeking supplier interest, options, timescales, and estimated costs for provision of a small (marine) survey vessel and trailer. The deadline for suppliers submitting feedback is 5pm, on 26 July 2024.
SEPA is looking to assess the market for procurement of a trailer and a ‘small survey vessel’, meaning a boat used for aquaculture surveys, water quality surveys, sediment sampling, camera work, seabed mapping and deploying buoys.
The buyer is seeking a boat that can be towed from its 24-meter Sir John Murray vessel and that can also be trailered behind SEPA’s current land vehicle, which has a 3,500kg maximum towing weight.
Suppliers interested in helping SEPA’s market assessment, should find the PIN on PCS by referencing the OCID code: ocds-r6ebe6-0000769740.
Then suppliers are required to download the Additional Documents within the PIN and complete the Information Required and Contract Specific Questions sections, adding any relevant additional information.
The complete document should be emailed to cara.zwicker@sepa.org.uk and christine.todd@sepa.org.uk by 5pm on 26 July 2024.
The contract notice for this tender is due to be published on 18 October 2024, and the scheduled date for the start of award procedures is 6 January 2025.
