The 12^th Annual Meet the Buyer 2021 will take place as a live, virtual event on 8 June 2021. Headline partners include the Scottish Government and Scotland Excel.

Meet the Buyer 2021 is the event of the year for engagement with buyers as the public sector turns towards economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Year on year, the Supplier Development Programme consistently facilitates suppliers with access to the public sector, and though virtual, Meet the Buyer 2021 will provide suppliers with the ability to raise your profile as a business, as well as learn more about and prepare for upcoming bidding and supply chain opportunities.

Businesses will be able to meet procurement teams from local councils, alongside other public and private sector buying organisations, with new buyers still being confirmed.

This is not just another Zoom meeting, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams Meeting - there will be packed agendas with speakers throughout the day on hot topics such as Growth Deals, links to Community Wealth Building, sustainable procurement, Fair Work First, how to bring innovation to the public sector, the climate change emergency in public sector procurement, Brexit, and COVID-19 economic recovery plans. Speakers and other staff will be available to answer questions in a live Q&A, and you'll also hear about top tips for tendering from the Supplier Development Programme. You'll also be able to virtually visit exhibition stands, download information and speak directly on a one-to-one basis with buyers via in-built video conferencing.
