East Lothian Council will soon be refreshing its Construction Framework, which will facilitate and support a programme of public building works. The Construction Framework will run for a 4-year period providing a many opportunities, with an estimated value in the region of £18m over the course of the framework. To support suppliers in this tendering opportunity, East Lothian Council is partnering with the Supplier Development Programme.

This is a multi-value lot framework, involves works contracts for new, refurbishment and modernisation of council public buildings (schools, nurseries, libraries, offices, community halls and sports centres and facilities). The contracts will vary in size, from small £value projects up several £million. Plans include: Internal alteration to various schools and other public buildings, Extension to Longniddry Primary School and Extension to Windygoul Primary School in Tranent, to name just a few.

The anticipated value of the contract is £18m over the course of the Framework, and the Council and the Supplier Development Programme wants to help and support you to bid successfully so a share of that local wealth can potentially stay in the local community, paid to your business through transparent public procurement practices.

In order to support businesses that may have never or have limited experience in bidding for a contract, the Supplier Development Programme is holding this training session by webinar in partnership with East Lothian Council to help you apply and bid for this contract opportunity.

During this training workshop, SDP will provide an overview of the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) – the service through which you will apply and bid for the tender to deliver the Construction Works Framework for the Council.
