Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) - Mechanised Ground Preparation Operations

Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) has developed of a framework agreement for Mechanised Ground Preparation Operations. The purpose of the framework agreement is to provide a compliant route to market for FLS to procure requirements which existing contractors do not have the capacity to undertake or to replace contracts which have been terminated due to contract failure. The framework agreement will not be used as a route to market for any other reason.

The scope of services under the Mechanised Ground Preparation contract is set to include:

• Core Services: Trench Mounding, Inverted Mounding, Hinge Mounding, Brake Rash & Windrowing, Scrape/Screef, Shallow Trench/Forward Mounding/Borrow Pitting, V-Drain, V-Drain with Flat Top, High/Low Spec Access Tracks, Excavator. 
• Non-Core Services: Patch Ripping/Subsoiling, Mechanical Respacing, Mulching - Excavator Head, Mulching - Skid Steer, Continuous Mounding (Restock), Continuous Mounding (Woodland Creation), Base Machine with Grab. 

This webinar will provide you with a better understanding of how to bid to be awarded a place on this framework agreement. We will walk through the process - as a bidder, to demonstrate how to use both the PCS & PCS-t portals to submit your bid.

During this webinar our expert trainer will demonstrate- live online, how to login and search the Public Contracts Scotland portal to; firstly, find the FLS Mechanised Ground Preparation contract notice. We will then follow the buyers instructions to gain access to the tender documents, open some of the questions and explore the type of information you will be expected to provide. We will also demonstrate how to use the Q&A functionality and upload any supporting documents.
