GCRCD (Glasgow City Region City Deal) - Regional Sustainable Procurement Strategy

GCRCD

Postponed – future date TBC

Partner Event

Glasgow City Region is exploring a Regional approach to procurement and community benefits.

This will build on the eight partner councils’ collaboration on procurement and community benefits for the £1 billion Glasgow City Region City Deal over the past five years.

A series of improvements have been introduced including streamlined processes and consistent documentation and a pilot community benefits integrated system is being tested which is already leading to better performance, monitoring and reporting.

We know we can do better and we want to work with you  - our existing suppliers, local SMEs and businesses, large corporates and key stakeholders – to shape the development of a new Regional strategy and approach for sustainable procurement and community benefits that will:

  • Be more effective;
  • Support our aims to promote economic growth, tackle poverty and social exclusion, and minimise its own evironmental impact; and
  • Support your business and recognise the challenges you face as suppliers.

This webinar hosted by SDP, will provide the opportunity for an open discussion about our priorities and obligations AND about the issues and challenges you face, in bidding for and delivering public sector contracts and their related community benefits. We want to explore how we can support your business, particularly local companies, through how we procure goods and services.

If you cannot attend, you can still provide input by emailing your comments to:
