Meet the Buyer Tayside

Don’t miss the annual Meet the Buyer Tayside event on 20 February 2024.

Dundee City Council, Perth & Kinross Council, and Angus Council, in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme, invite businesses of all sizes to this free, in-person event on 20 February 2024, from 10am to 2pm in Invercarse Hotel, Dundee.

The Meet the Buyer event will allow local suppliers to discuss contract, supply chain and sub-contracting opportunities with public and private sector buyers.

Suppliers attending will also have the chance to hear about requirements for bidding with buyers across a wide range of sectors, including building works, transport, catering, and more. 

Meet the Buyer Tayside gives businesses of all sizes the opportunity to meet buyers from most of the Public Sector organisations in and around Tayside.

• 11:15am: Doing Business with the Scottish Government and Q&A. Presentation by Kenny Rankin, Policy Manager, Scottish Government.
• 12:15pm: Scope 3 Emissions Carbon Monitoring. Presentation by Stephanie Maia, Climate Engagement Manager, Edinburgh Science. 
• 1:00pm: Future Contract Opportunities in Tayside and How to Access them through Public Contracts Scotland/PCS Tender. Presentation by Julie Thompson, Corporate Procurement Manager, Dundee City Council and Fran Goldie, Digital Development Officer, Supplier Development Programme. 

In addition to networking opportunities about upcoming contracts, there will also be information sessions throughout the day, covering topics including Quick Quotes for smaller contracts and understanding the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) website.
