Talking Tenders with NatureScot

Peatland ACTION is a national program funded by the Scottish Government which supports the delivery of peatland restoration across Scotland.  In February 2020, the Scottish Government announced a substantial, multi-annual investment in peatland restoration of more than £250 million over the next 10 years, to help meet Scotland’s target of net-zero emissions by 2045.

To meet Scotland’s ambitious targets for restoring 250,000Ha of peatland by 2030, there is a need to increase the skilled workforce available to do this work.

This restoration work on Novar Estate aims to reduce erosion and raise the water table on an exposed ridge-top site.
