Catering Contract

Social Security Scotland currently has a Prior Information Notice live for the opportunity for the provision of Catering Services in both their Glasgow and Dundee sites. It is anticipated that a Contract Notice will be issued in the coming months for this opportunity however as part of their ongoing market engagement Social Security Scotland would like to invite interested parties along to an information session on the requirements the tender systems and a Q&A session.  Social Security Scotland would encourage all interested parties to attend the session. 

In order to provide a suitable work environment at these new premises for circa 1,200 staff in Dundee and Glasgow Social Security Scotland intends to procure catering services. Services will include the provision of hot and cold beverages, breakfast and café style lunch menus and a variety of confectionary.

Consideration is being given to reserving this contract for supported businesses in line with Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 Regulation 21 (2)

Regulation 21 defines a supported business as:

“an economic operator whose main aim is the social and professional integration of disabled and disadvantaged persons and where at least 30% of the employees of the economic operator are disabled or disadvantaged persons”
