What can suppliers expect from The Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal at the Meet the Buyer 2023 event on 17 May?

A City Region Deal is a mechanism for accelerating growth by pulling in significant government investment. Investing this funding in innovation, skills and infrastructure will significantly improve performance, help tackle inequality and deprivation. The Edinburgh and South-East Scotland City Region comprises six local authorities: East Lothian, Edinburgh, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian.

The Governments and regional partners have committed to a £1.3 billion over the next 15 years, across five themes:

• Research, Development and Innovation
• Integrated Regional Employability and Skills Programme
• Transport
• Culture
• Housing

The Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal is keen to engage with suppliers to support and facilitate community benefits. The team is also looking to engage with Local Authorities, contractors and procurement teams to discuss the City Region Deal community benefit services.
