Living Wage Scotland

What can suppliers expect from Living Wage Scotland at the Meet the Buyer 2023 event on 17 May?

The real Living Wage is an independently calculated rate based on the cost of living and is paid voluntarily by employers. The rate is currently £10.90 and is calculated annually by The Resolution Foundation on an analysis of the wage that employees need to earn in order to afford a decent standard of living.

Living Wage accreditation formally recognises and celebrates employers who choose to go further than the government's statutory minimum wage rates. Join the growing movement of employers that demonstrate that a real Living Wage is good for business, good for workers, and good for society.

Come along to the exhibition stand to have your questions about the real Living Wage and Fair Work practice in public sector contracts answered. The team will also be on hand to discuss the benefits of becoming an accredited Living Wage employer and explain why payment of the voluntary rate is a strong indicator of commitment to Fair Work in Scotland.
