What can suppliers expect from ScotRail at the Meet the Buyer 2023 event on 17 May?

As of April 2022, ScotRail is a publicly owned company which is owned by thr Scottish Government. ScotRail believe that sustainability is more than just an ethical duty, it’s key to sustained growth. Procuring sustainably allows ScotRail to deliver our aspirations in a way that achieves value for money and generates benefits not only to the organisation, but also to the Scottish economy whilst minimising risk. ScotRail currently has live contracts in Cyber Security Architecture and Legionella Testing on Public Contracts Scotland. Some previous examples of tendering opportunities with ScotRail includes Train Toilet Maintenance, Supply of Mains Metered Gas, Supply and Delivery of Bulk Fuels, and Alternative Transport Services.

As part of its commitment to sustainable procurement, the ScotRail team is particularly keen to engage with SMEs, social enterprises and suppliers from all across Scotland that deliver benefits to the wider community, whether this is promoting local employment, providing education programmes or use of local materials and products.
