What can suppliers expect from the Scottish Government at the Meet the Buyer 2023 event on 17 May?

The Scottish Government is one of the headline partners of this years Meet the Buyer event. Ivan McKee MSP, Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise will deliver an address on the day, subject to Parliamentary business.

The Scottish Procurement and Property Directorate (SPPD) sits within the Scottish Government and is responsible for providing procurement support to Core Scottish Government Directorates and Scottish Central Government organisations. There are two Divisions within SPPD being represented at the Stand; the Collaborative Procurement Division (CPD) and the Procurement Services Division (PSD).

CPD is responsible for letting and managing a range of collaborative agreements, most of which are accessible to the entire Scottish public sector, although a small number are reserved for the Central Government sector. PSD is responsible for letting and managing a wide range of contracts for core Scottish Government directorates and Central Government organisations.

The Meet the Buyer event gives Scottish Government Procurement (SPPD) a fantastic opportunity to engage with suppliers, provide information on its current portfolio of frameworks/contracts and answer any questions to help you gain a better understanding of Scottish public sector procurement.
