The Supplier Development Programme is proud to announce that we have been honoured as a finalist in the Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards 2019/20 Scotland for the category “Team of the Year.”

Hosted and organised by BiP Solutions Ltd and supported by the Scottish Government, the GO Awards Scotland are Scotland’s national procurement awards and part of Scotland’s Annual Festival of Procurement. The GO Awards Scotland celebrate excellence and innovation in all aspects of procurement, recognising outstanding achievement from the public, private and third sectors.

On Tuesday, 29 October 2019, all finalists will gather at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow alongside fellow procurement leaders to celebrate the winners of 10 awards categories in service delivery, social value, market development and more. The GO Awards Scotland Excellence Award will also be presented on the evening to the outstanding winning entry from across all categories.

GO Awards finalists also receive complimentary entry to Procurex Scotland, the nation’s largest and longest established public procurement event, incorporating the 15th Scottish Government National Procurement Conference. Procurex Scotland will include an exclusive invite-only GO Awards finalist Q&A session with some of procurement’s key figures from across Scotland and a finalists’ networking reception.

The judging panel for the GO Awards Scotland is made up of seven of the country’s leading procurement experts. Grahame Steed, GO Awards Scotland Lead Judge, said: “I’m delighted to see such a strong array of finalists in this year’s GO Awards Scotland. Each has made it through the first phase of judging and deserve recognition for their achievement. Once again, we have a diverse range of finalists from across the entire nation, demonstrating how vibrant and progressive public sector procurement is in Scotland.”

Gillian Cameron, SDP Programme Manager, said: “We are delighted to be recognised as a finalist for “Team of the Year” by the GO Awards Scotland judging panel. We offer our sincere congratulations to all finalists across all of the categories for their admirable hard work in Scottish public procurement, and we look forward to learning more about each of their achievements at the end of October.”
