Changes are coming to your PCS Company Profile

To improve the e-mail alert service, Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) is changing the commodity coding structure that you use to set up your company profile (which triggers e-mail alerts about notices relevant to your business). From 31 October, PCS will stop using the Proclass coding structure that is currently in place and switch to the Common Procurement Vocabulary (CPV) classification system.

PCS has mapped all existing supplier profiles from the Proclass structure and created new profiles using CPV. However, it will be imperative for you to check your new CPV profile and amend it as necessary as soon as possible from 31 October onwards, to ensure that it remains relevant and robust for all your business interests.

In preparation for this, you may wish to review the CPV code list located below and identify the codes relevant to your business. You can then check and amend your Alert Profile as necessary once the change has been implemented on 31 October.
