Discover Your Next Opportunity at Meet the Buyer Tayside

The Supplier Development Programme is working with Dundee Council and partners to hold Meet the Buyer Tayside, an event highlighting regional contract opportunities, on 20 February 2024, from 10am – 2pm, at the Invercarse Hotel Dundee.

Meet the Buyer Tayside offers a relaxed environment for private sector suppliers to speak to public sector buyers, and discover ways to work with them, on new and existing contracts, for goods, services and works. It’s also a chance to hear about future pipeline opportunities.

The event is free to attend, through the SDP website, and both businesses and social enterprises are welcome. Previous years’ events have had high turn outs, so visitors are advised to register now to avoid disappointment.

This year’s public sector exhibitors will include not only Dundee Council, but also Angus Council, Fife Council, Perth & Kinross Council, NHS Tayside and Tayside Contracts.

There will also be private sector organisations on hand, ready to discuss their sub-contracting opportunities. Abertay University, Dundee University, Dundee & Angus College, Roberston Construction and McLaughlin & Harvey are just some of those who will be exhibiting.

As well as signposting contract opportunities, Meet the Buyer Tayside will offer free business advice, from a range of support organisations including, The Supplier Development Programme, Public Contracts Scotland, Business Gateway Tayside, Social Security Scotland and Michelin Development Ltd.

What’s more, live speaker sessions will provide tips for tendering and using Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) and Public Contracts Scotland Tenders (PCS-T) portals.
