Property Flood Resilience Product Opportunities Arise in Falkirk

Do you know a Property Flood Resilience retailer or contractor interested in supplying PFR products? Then point them towards Falkirk Council!

Falkirk Council’s flooding team is developing a pilot scheme called ‘Falkirk Flood Protection Support’. The aim of this scheme is to make property flood resilience (PFR)  products more accessible in the Falkirk Council region. This is a new and developing industry which is not yet established in Scotland. The scheme will allow local people, in areas of risk from any type of flooding, to purchase these products with Falkirk Council providing a subsidy of 30% towards the total cost.  

These products will be supplied by a local retailer, and the council hope to encourage local companies and individuals to become PFR installers. 

The products that will be provided are:

• Filled and Unfilled Sandbags
• Hydrosacks
• Puddle Pumps
• Toilet Bungs
• Airbrick Snorkels
• Flood Defence Barriers
• Anti-Flood Airbricks
• Flood Doors
• One Way Weep Vents

Falkirk Council wish to encourage any suppliers/contractors who want to hear more about the opportunities in supplying or installing PFR products to attend the following event .

Date:  Thursday 8 May 2025

Venue – Falkirk Stadium,4  Stadium Way, Falkirk FK2 EE ( Alex Parker Lounge)

Time : The event begins at 5:30pm in the Alex Parker Lounge (3rd floor), with the first presentation starting at 6pm and
the second presentation starting at 7pm. The event will officially end at 8:30pm
