Forth Valley Meet the Buyer announced!

The Supplier Development Programme is set to host a Meet the Buyer online event, in partnership with the three Forth Valley Councils on 30 June.

Suppliers will be able to meet Falkirk Council, Stirling Council, and Clackmannanshire Council procurement teams, as well as other public and private sector buying organisations. This event is aimed at local businesses to help them find out what contract opportunities are available within the three councils as well as from the wider public sector.

Agenda

This Meet the Buyer event will differ from previous events, as it is aimed towards the two Growth Deals in the Forth Valley area: the Falkirk Growth Deal and the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal.

Businesses can be amongst the first to know what potential opportunities are coming up in relation to the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal, worth £214m of funding to boost the economy across Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire, and the Falkirk Growth Deal with project funding worth £90m to help boost the economy around Falkirk.

Falkirk Council will be giving a presentation about its Growth Deal, followed by a live Q&A with the Council's procurement team.

Stirling Council and Clackmannanshire Council will be presenting together, as the Councils are headline partners in a joint City Region Deal. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A with procurement staff from both Stirling and Clackmannanshire.

Businesses will also benefit from learning how to bid for the upcoming opportunities featured as part of the agenda and gathered via one-to-one meetings with exhibiting organisations through the Supplier Development Programme.

Virtual Exhibition

In addition to the main agenda, suppliers will have the opportunity to virtually visit exhibition stands, download information, flyers and leaflets, and more to read while you are waiting in a queue to speak directly on a one-to-one basis with buyers via in built video conferencing. The exhibition stand will be open all day but there will be dedicated time throughout the agenda to visit the exhibition stands.
