Glasgow City Council is seeking suppliers' feedback for an upcoming contract opportunity

Glasgow City Council has published a Prior Information Notice (PIN) on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) on behalf of the Society of Chief Officers of Transportation in Scotland (SCOTS) and all 32 Scottish Local Authorities, seeking a provider to deliver Consultancy Services for the SCOTS Roads Asset Management Project (RAMP) – Phase 4.

As part of the preparatory and early market engagement work, Glasgow City Council would like suppliers to provide feedback by answering questions in a survey. Your answers will assist in the development of a procurement strategy and tender that will deliver a contract for the provision of Consultancy Services for SCOTS Roads Asset Management Project as described in the Council’s recently published PIN.

The project is recognised as being of significant national importance in driving improvement in asset management practice and promoting effective maintenance of the Scottish local roads network. SCOTS have developed, in collaboration with its community, a pragmatic recommended practice framework that meets the requirements, needs, and priorities of its members. The required services include but are not limited to:

  • Design and delivery of practitioner-level asset management training, mainly via webinars and instructional videos.
  • Further development of pragmatic guidance and tools – expanding the RAMP framework to meet evolving roads infrastructure maintenance challenges and needs.
  • Auditing of RAM Practices.

Support from the Supplier Development Programme

Stay ahead of the curve and start getting ‘tender ready' for this opportunity with SDP’s free tender training. The training is available to all Scottish SMEs, supported businesses, and third sector organisations which have little or no experience of tendering and are often too small to have dedicated/tender resources to contemplate bidding for public contracts.

You can book your place for SDP's beginner level 1.3 Getting Your Business Tender Ready – The Checklist webinar on 19 April 2022. Alternatively, you can check out the SDP Events Calendar to see what training and events are coming up!
