Glasgow City Council seeks suppliers for Vehicle and Plant Equipment Recovery Services

Glasgow City Council has published a Prior Information Notice (PIN) on Public Contract Scotland (PCS) seeking suppliers for Vehicle and Plant Equipment Recovery Services.

The Council requires services for the provision of a 24 hour, 365 days per year recovery service for:

  • All vehicles and plant equipment currently in the Council family’s fleet to ensure operational personnel can carry out its duties in a safe and efficient manner and ensure continuity of service.
  • For privately owned vehicles ahead of works and events
  • Recovery and disposal of abandoned or End of Life Vehicles
  • Standby hire of recovery vehicles for standby at public events
  • The removal of illegally parked vehicles
  • A service to decommission fleet and undertake vehicle scrappage of abandoned or end of life vehicles

The Council has deemed the following locations/areas where the service will be required.

  • Street to Street Uplifting – uplift from one street to another nearby streets (please note that this service will be required for both event and other areas of the business).
  • Street to Council premises/depots or another
  • Street to Service Provider premises
  • Council premises/depots/other to another specified location

The closing date for this contract is 31 October 2022 at 12:00pm.
