Living Wage Week Scotland
Living Wage Week is the annual celebration of the real Living Wage movement, taking place this year from Monday, 9 November to Friday, 15 November 2020. It is an opportunity to bring together the network of over 1800 accredited Living Wage employers in Scotland to celebrate their commitment to supporting workers and their families through the pandemic.
Living Wage Week is also a chance for employers who are considering becoming accredited employers to learn more about the real Living Wage and the benefits accreditation can bring them.
The week begins with the announcement of the new Living Wage rates, which are the only rates of pay independently calculated based on what people need to live on. It then continues with an exciting range of networking events, webinars, testimony for employers and workers and much more!
This year, online events will focus on Early Learning and Childcare, Social Enterprises, Adult Social Care, Hospitality, Anchor Institutions and more.
- 9 November: The Real Living Wage in Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) online event
10 November: Building a Fairer Scotland, Social Enterprise and the Real Living Wage online event
11 November: The Real Living Wage in Adult Social Care online event
12 November: The Way Forward for Hospitality online event
