Meet the Buyer online at Fife Business Week

Fife Council logoThe most anticipated event of Fife Business Week is happening on Thursday, 5 November. This year, Meet the Buyer will be a virtual event aiming to help local businesses find out what contract opportunities are available across a range of sectors, including offshore wind, renewables, manufacturing, construction, and the wider public sector.

As part of the Supplier Development Programme delivery, the Fife Council Economic Development team will host a Meet the Buyer which will see participation from Fife Council Procurement, Talgo, and Forth & Tay Offshore Wind Developers, SSE Renewables, EDF Renewables and Red Rock Power Limited. There will also be an opportunity to request a one to one session with the buyers.

Councillor Altany Craik, Convenor for Fife Council’s Economy, Tourism, Strategic Planning and Transportation Committee, commented:

“The popular Meet the Buyer Event will allow businesses to gain an understanding of how to become part of the buyers supply chain. We are working collaboratively with the Supplier Development Programme to support businesses with expert training, support and information to help win work and grow their business.”

He added: “This interactive session will give businesses an opportunity to hear about top tendering tips and gain insight into support available, to become tender ready!”

Fife Business Week 2020 will focus on Creating Business Opportunities in the new ‘Normal’ with the aim of achieving Sustainability and Resiliance while increasing Digital Connectivity and increasing agile business models. This is to improve business growth through new supply chains and new markets and fostering a culture of innovation and enterprise.
