Public Procurement and Property International survey on social procurement

Scottish Procurement wants to hear buyers perspectives on the benefits and challenges of social procurement policies, and the effects of these policies on day-to-day organisational practice, adoption, and use of organisational systems.

If you are a public sector buyer, you can have your say through an anonymous survey that is open until the end of February and takes about 10 minutes to complete. The survey is part of a new international research project on social procurement, commonly known as ‘Sustainable Procurement’.

The project aims to understand the implementation of social procurement policy reforms in both Scotland and Victoria, Australia, and the challenges and opportunities these reforms are creating for procurement professionals in public bodies, suppliers, policy makers and organisations involved in supporting the ecosystems. It aims to get views from policy makers, buyers, suppliers and supporting businesses involved in social procurement.

The survey is being carried out independently by academics from both Australia and Scotland.
