Scottish Government Scot Climate Week podcast 2022!

As part of the #ScotClimateWeek celebrations the Scottish Government invited three members of the Climate and Procurement Forum to talk about how the forum has been supporting Scotland's fight against climate change.

The Scottish Government invited Graeme Cook, Deputy Director for Procurement Services Division in the Scottish Government, Gillian Cameron, Programme Manager for the Supplier Development Programme and Brodie Smithers, Senior Category Manager for The City of Edinburgh Council.

Public procurement is expected to contribute to the Scottish Government's climate change targets, in compliance with the sustainable procurement duty. Public bodies are required to:

  • Set out in its Annual Procurement Strategy on how it will use procurement to contribute to the global climate emergency.
  • Report progress in its Annual Procurement Report.
  • Report on how its procurement policies and procurement activity has contributed to compliance with climate change duties in its Public Bodies Climate Change Duty Report.
