Diversity in NHS supply chains tops agenda with SDP at P4H Scotland event
The Supplier Development Programme (SDP) attended the P4H Scotland event on Monday, 25 April.
The P4H Scotland event was a hybrid event for the buyer and supplier healthcare procurement community to engage across a range of innovative event features designed for all participants to explore today’s marketplace initiatives and objectives.
In addition to exhibiting, SDP presented to attendees at the P4H Scotland event in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Lanarkshire on a joint project to diversify the health boards' supply chains through increased inclusion of micro, small and medium sized businesses. The project is supported by the Health Anchors Learning Network (HALN) and will focus on increasing diversity with the two NHS supply chains, encouraging businesses led by, for, and with people with protected characteristics as defined by the Equalities Act Scotland and Fairer Scotland Duty. This will be achieved by inviting businesses of all sizes, particularly those that may be owned or led by women, minority, disabled and LGBTQ+ individuals, are invited to participate in a programme of free tender training webinars in 2022.

Suppliers interested in upcoming supply chain opportunities can register free to attend Talking Tenders with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde on 26 May and Talking Tenders with NHS Lanarkshire on 15 June at Meet the Buyer 2022.
