SDP is looking for Expert Trainers!

Are you an expert in procurement? Helping others with bid writing and building their tendering skills? Can you explain the differences between a Framework, PSA and DPS? Do you know the Procurement and the Supplier Journeys inside out and backwards? Do you want to share your knowledge and skills with micro, small and medium sized businesses on behalf of the premier free tender training programme in Scotland?

A PIN for the Supplier Development Programme’s training framework has been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS). SDP will be accessing this Procured Service Arrangement (PSA) to procure training providers for the delivery of training to private sector companies to assist them to bid for Public Sector contracts. The PIN was published by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT), which will be carrying out the full procurement exercise.

The tender to follow this prior information notice will be advertised as a PSA, which is a hybrid Framework/DPS with multiple service providers and will be open to suitably qualified and experienced new entrants at all times over its term.

Potential trainers and procurement experts interested in bidding for a place on this PSA are invited to register their interest.

Considerations

The purpose of the Supplier Development Programme is to provide free business support in all aspects of tendering to Scottish SMEs, supported businesses and third sector organisations. Prior to delivery of the SDP training programme content, which is fully managed by SDP, trainers will be required to attend "Train the Trainer" type training. Additionally, it is important to note that successful trainers will not be able to promote their own private consultation services through the Programme; all delivery is branded and maintained as the Supplier Development Programme. Delivery of tender training is NOT a sales pitch but rather an opportunity to be the face of SDP. This is a huge responsibility, and guidance and training will be provided by SDP in advance of the commencement of professional training services.

Further Information

Interested potential trainers are encouraged to register their interest in the PIN on PCS.

The PSA will also be used by SPT for the provision of a variety of training services across a multi disciplined organisation, to include IT, Health and Safety, interpersonal skills, change management and will include more specialised training pertaining to the rail and general transport Industry.

Interested potential trainers for SPT are encouraged to register their interest in the PIN on PCS.
