New Scottish Procurement Policy Note (SPPN) - Coronavirus (COVID-19): recovery and transition from COVID-19
The Scottish Government has issued a new Scottish Procurement Policy Note (SPPN) regarding recovery and transition from Coronavirus (COVID-19). This policy note is supplementary to and extends SPPN 5/2020 – supplier relief and comes into effect on 1 July 2020. The SPPN sets out guidance for public bodies on reviewing contract portfolios and implementing transition plans as soon as possible with a view to restarting contracts, where possible to do so, in line with the opening up of markets and the Scottish Government’s Routemap through and out of lockdown.
Supplier Development Programme postpones Meet the Buyer event to 2021 with partners Scottish Government and Scotland Excel
In uncertain times, Scottish SMEs and supported businesses are wondering what additional support may be available in Scotland. In partnership with SLAED, the Supplier Development Programme has published a summary of all wider COVID-19 support from EU, UK & Scottish Government. The summary includes a list of each scheme, what it does, who is eligible, and how it is accessed. This summary was last updated on 31 March 2020.
On average, the Supplier Development Programme organises more than 100 training events across Scotland annually. These free training events are delivered face-to-face and digitally via webinar. In line with official advice, keeping in mind that the situation continues to develop with regard to the Scottish Government's response to coronavirus and COVID-19, SDP Scotland is working with partners to move all imminent scheduled face-to-face training to be delivered via webinar, to postpone, or to cancel.
